Building Construction Standards

Outdoor Safety Lockers are FM approved and intended for the storage of combustible, flammable liquids and other hazardous materials. The building does not require specific foundations or supports. All of the materials used in the construction are new and unused. Use of wood in construction is unacceptable. Manufacturing quality compliance is in accordance with ASTM, AISI, and AWS materials and fabrication standards. The building will meet the model building codes, model fire codes, safety and environmental regulations:

The building will include a 15 year structural warranty.
Standard Building Design Loads:
  • Roof Snow Load: 40 psf (pounds per square foot)
  • Wind Load: Min 90 mph (B1200 and smaller), Min 170 mph (B1600 and larger)
  • Live Floor Load: 250 psf standard – 500 psf available
  • Seismic Condition: Zone 4

Hurricane Resistant Wall Design
The walls have been tested to withstand F-4 tornado force winds of 250 mph. And there is an upgrade package available for Tornado Resistant Walls. There is an upgrade package available for hurricane resistant door(s). Contact customer service for more information.
