Description:
This Low Pressure, Fine Thread, gas cylinder safety cap is designed to fit most North American gas cylinders. The SNAP CAP cylinder safety device meets DOT standards. The unit denies access to the main cylinder control and regulator attachment, rendering the cylinder, its contents, and your regulator useless to anyone but your designated personnel. At less than the cost of a cylinder refill and much less than a regulator, the value is obvious. Welded steel construction and powder coating provides many years of use. It includes a brass padlock. Product Dimensions (WxDxH): 3.5" x 3.5" x 6.5".
SC2501FS High Pressure Fine Threads (Most oxygen and shielding gas cylinders) - 6.5"x3-1/8"x11 UNF
SC2502FS Low Pressure Fine Threads (For example Acetylene cylinders) - 6.5"x3-1/2"x11 UNF
SC2503FS High Pressure Coarse Threads - 6.5"x3-1/8"x11 UNC
SC2504FS Low Pressure Coarse Threads - 6.5"x3-1/2"x11 UNC
The difference between fine thread and coarse thread can be determined by measuring the number of threads in one inch. Place a ruler/tape measure next to the threads and count. If there are approximately 7 threads in one inch, that is a coarse thread. If there are approximately 11 threads, that is a fine thread.
