Description:
This worksite man basket safely lifts up to four people 1,200 lbs. It is fully welded and made with 2-inch square steel tube framing with 21-inch high expanded metal enclosed sides (can increase to 42" high by request) and four lifting eyes. The access doors open inward and are self-closing and self-latching. A 6-inch steel continuous toe plate surrounds the base of the unit. The personnel basket includes a grab rail on three sides and anchors for personnel body harness connection. Exterior pad eyes are included for tag line use. The floor is no-slip diamond plate and has drain holes to prevent water from collecting. There are two fork pockets (dimensions 3”x6”x1/8”; not shown on main product image) for easy ground transport at the job site. The man basket includes a 5-part bridle to connect to the lifting eyes of the unit to the crane. Includes 1,500 lb test weight. The personnel basket includes the required safety decals and testing certificates and will have a permanent non-corrosive ID plate attached. A waterproof compartment is attached inside the unit to store the operating manual. The worksite basket has a yellow electrostatic powder coat finish for visibility and durability. Each basket is weight tested at the manufacturer prior to shipment. There is a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty and product liability insurance included with this product. Test Weight:
OSHA requires you to do a trial lift to ensure the safety of your man basket. For convenience, a 1,500 lb test weight with quick pin attachment is included with this product. Some things to know about OSHA's test requirements:
-OSHA requires a test weight to be 125% of the working capacity of your man basket. This means a man basket with a capacity of 1,000 LBS. must use a test weight weighing at least 1,250 LBS.
-Test weights must have all weight evenly distributed through the man basket.
-When performing the trial lift, simply attach your test weight and lift the man basket a few inches off the ground. Hold in place for 5 minutes and watch for any instability or points of stress.
