The double wall on these cabinets contain flammable liquids in protected storage. Self close doors will shut, index and latch automatically under fire conditions (at 165 degrees) when the fusible link melts. The self closing mechanism is concealed.
This flammable cabinet is built using all-welded, 18-gauge (1mm) galvannealed steel, which provides up to 16 times more resistance to corrosion than regular steel. It also includes a double wall with 1.5" (38mm) of insulating air space for improved fire safety. There is a slanted roof with gutter guides to divert rain and snow away from the cabinet doors. The 3-point self-latching system provides easy, positive door closure. Three stainless steel bullet latches offer durability and increased heat resistance. The 12 gauge steel trapezoid legs keep the cabinet's contents above ground level and provide the ability for the cabinet to be moved with a forklift.
Safety shelves guide spills to back and bottom of leak-proof sump. They are made of galvanized steel and can be adjusted on 3 inch centers and meet ANSI regulations by providing a 350 lb safe allowable load.
Paddle handle resists slipping with special grip and allows simple operation using fingertips, while minimizing "catches" from passing traffic. Comes with two keys and accepts padlocks (not included) for additional and security, which creates a visual deterrent.
Warning labels illuminate when hit with a flashlight beam, which increases safety during fire or power outage situations.
Additional features include a 2" leak-tight sump, round door corners to minimize danger of cuts, dual vents with flame arresters, multi-language warning sign, and grounding connector. Each cabinet comes with a manufacturer's 10-year warranty. Adjustable shelf is approximately 2" thick.
