1 Can - California UWR-Compliant - Automatic Counter - Aerosol Can Recycling System

Avoid fines and protect the environment by converting your used aerosol cans from solid hazardous waste to non-hazardous material for safe, easy disposal. This system is designed to eliminate an entire RCRA waste stream. A stainless steel pin punctures the can by moving the large aluminum handle. Any residual liquids flow into the collection drum through the standard 2" bung. Once an aerosol can is empty it meets the EPA 40 CFR 261.23(a)(6) definition of no longer being hazardous waste. The aerosol can is ready to be recycled as scrap metal. The included two-part combination coalescing carbon filter with saturation indicator fits on the customer supplied drum 3/4" bung to filter the VOCs from the residual propellants that could be left in the can. The bottom coalescing cartridge transforms residual liquids into droplets that collect in the reservoir of the cartridge and safely drain into the drum. The top activated carbon filter cartridge has a viewing window to show saturation and serves as a replacement reminder. The system includes a shut-off valve in the puncturing unit and a check valve in the carbon cartridge to prevent off-gassing. Also includes a poly lid cover and a poly containment sump for the drum to stay compliant with the California Universal Waste Rule when processing or transporting the drum. There is a lockout and shut-off mechanism to prevent unauthorized use and prevents hazardous vapors from escaping to meet OSHA requirements. Comply with ISO 14001 program standards to keep track of usage with the built-in counter. The Aerosolv® 7000XL Recycling System also includes safety goggles, an anti-static ground wire with alligator clip and padlock with key. Requires either a 30-gallon or 55-gallon drum (not included) for proper use. Ships parcel or freight for larger quantities. This product is made in the USA.
